Objects20c will be increasing emphasis on the promotion of our art selection beginning this April. Our website now features a Fine Art section segregating Contemporary Paintings, Modern Paintings and a more general Fine Sculpture category. Ensuing a successful exhibit of the work of young contemporary artist Matt Godwin, Objects20c will be making a number of the remaining canvases featured in the show available both on our website and in our gallery.

Tancredi Works on Paper March 23, 2012
Abstract mixed media paintings by Tancredi(1927 – 1964). Signed.
Provenance: These pieces were acquired from the collection of Raffaele Ravaioli. Mr. Ravaioli’s interest and work in the arts, fashion & design led him to befriend Peggy Guggenheim. Peggy recommended that he purchase Tancredi’s work. Tancredi participated in an abstract Italian art exhibition at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome in 1951. The same year the artist settled in Venice and met Peggy Guggenheim. Peggy gave him studio space and exhibited his work in her palazzo in 1954. He was awarded the Graziano Prize for painting in Venice in 1952.
